Me falla el disco duro del portátil ...

Me falla el disco duro del portátil ...

Hola a tod@s.

Estoy sobre openSUSE 11.0 + KDE3 (3.5.10 "release 42") + kernel 2.6.25.20-0.1, en un portátil (Compaq Presario V6000 -modelo V6139EU-).

Hoy es un día agridulce. He descubierto porqué tenía tantos fallos a la hora de ejecutar los programas (firefox, ktorrent, etc.), pero el problema detectado, es que mi disco duro se muere.

Lo digo porqué me ha dado el siguiente error:

Me he puesto a buscar en google y he encontrado que ejecutando el comando "smartctl -a /dev/sda" me muestra la siguiente información:

Lo que no sé es para que sirve ... pero bueno, todo es ponerse.

Lo que he intuido, es que hay sectores defectuosos en mi partición de "/home" (/dev/sda7), por lo que me he puesto a pasar la herramienta de corrección de errores de disco -FSCK- ,con las particiones de "/" y "/home/" desmontadas.
En principio me ha corregido algunos errores, pero intuyo que no me ha marcado los sectores entre el 51002 y el 51404 como defectuosos, porque me sigue pasando lo mismo (me cuelga el sistema) cuando el ktorrent intenta grabar en el disco duro.

Os pongo el mensaje, porque no sé que hacer:
· si salir a la tienda a comprar otro HD;
· o bien intentar reparar (si es que se puede) el actual.

En fin, se admiten sugerencias. Un abrazo.

hola,
yo te aconsejaria pasar una utilidad del fabricante dle disco. De todas formas cuando he visto un aviso de smart normalmente el disco no ha durado mucho haz un backup enseguida.
Si solo son sectores defectuosos igual con marcarlos bastara, pero es posible que con el tiempoo aparezcan mas.
