Suse 10.2 - KDE - A veces lento, a veces no

Pongo post, ya que he estado buscando, y no encuentro algo "igual" a lo que me pasa a mi, es algo extraño (alguno puede que sepa el porque, pero yo no y por eso pregunto) y es lo siguiente.

Uso Suse 10.2 y KDE, como pone en el título. Y a veces, no siempre, pero digamos un 50% de las veces que inicio, las animaciones (desde la notificación elástica de lanzamiento, pasando por el globo en la barra de tareas que sale cuando señalas una aplicación abierta) van lentos de narices. Algunas cosas también van lentas cuando pasa esto, pero en lo que es abrir aplicaciones, va bien.

Cuando sucede esto, si reinicio escritorio, (CTRL+ALT+F1, o bien el comando rxcdm restart) no vuelve a la velocidad normal, se le quita o bien si reinicio el PC, y a veces ni eso, tengo que insistir.

La duda es que otras veces inicia bien, y sin problemas, funciona todo correctamente. Y me mosquea el que no toco nada y a veces va bien, y otras no. Me tiene jodidamente mosqueado.

Mientras tiene ese "efecto", si hablamos de ejecutar Beryl (AIGLX, Nvidia) va tremendamente lento y a trompicones. Y en funcionamiento normal va perfecto.

Detalles del PC;

2.8 Ghz (intel prescott), 1 GB de ram, 2xSata en Raid0 (por hardware), nvidia 6800GT con los drivers 9631.

Espero poder encontrar la solución al problema. Por otros post leídos, del boot, lo que siempre va mas lento, pero a la misma velocidad siempre, da igual si luego inicia bien, o bien tiene ese "efecto lento" son las líneas;

El IPv6 ese que yo sepa está deshabilitado en la configuración de la tarjeta de Red. El método usado, es el tradicional iflup ese.
